We invite you to partner with us, together growing our shared capacity to increase awareness and education within our community and workplaces, of the importance of road safety. Together, we strive to prevent unnecessary loss of life and reduce the effects of road crash trauma within the communities we all live in, thus, reaching our vision of a fatality-free journey for all road users through Central Queensland.

RAAG is an incorporated Not-for-Profit community group that can only prosper with the support of our partners. RAAG has proudly been operated by volunteers over the past two decades, made up of local business & industry leaders, with insight and cooperation from various levels of government, associated industry bodies and other road-related entities. Our partnership program is an excellent opportunity for you and your organisation to impact positively and contribute to saving lives on our roads. We invite you to partner with us to deliver important road safety messaging throughout the communities we all live and work within.

On behalf of the many lives we’ve positively impacted, we thank you for taking the time to read our partnership proposal and look forward to working with you soon to continue saving lives and reducing road crash trauma within our communities.

Let’s Make a Difference Together

Partnership Opportunities

We have listed four main partnership options, all with a three – or five-year commitment. However, we are also open to further discussion depending on what your organisation could commit to or if there is a particular project you would like to support. We are seeking funding to assist with the following:

  • Operational costs – These include the cost of a part-time admin and funding coordinator who works with our volunteers to ensure all projects and programs are delivered on time and on budget. Other operating expenses include annual auditing, insurances, communications, office equipment, consumables, and minor project resources. Industry memberships and subscriptions to maintain knowledge currency also comes from this budget. These costs are an essential part of running our organisation, however, are rarely covered by grant funding.
  • Road Safety Education program – our road safety presentations require updating and we need to recruit and train new facilitators so we can expand the program to reach more people. Funding would be used towards researching and updating the presentation to ensure the data is up to date and the messaging consistent. It would also enable us to advertise the program widely throughout the community.
  • Wide Load Education – RAAG has plans in 2024 to expand the wide load signage at rest areas from 21 to 50 (or more if possible). We also plan to run an extensive media campaign to raise awareness for this issue (Central Qld region has the highest number of wide loads in Australia).
  • Work out Visibly Education – We will continue to campaign each year for people to be mindful of their safety when exercising on or near roads. This will include handing out more visibility items, media campaigns and more.
  • Future projects that are part of our action plan and tie in with our Strategic Management Plan. For example, road safety issues such as:
    • Stock on Roads
    • Lights on and Live
    • Distracted Driving

Community Benefit

Working with and supporting RAAG benefits not only your organisation, but also the wider community:

  • Being a positive contributor to bringing long term social change regarding road safety.
  • Partnering to advocate for safer roads for all.
  • Ensuring ongoing road safety awareness and education is being shared with the community.
  • Giving the community the opportunity to be part of the solution for creating a fatality-free future.11
